On June 17, 2022, BRP Pharmaceuticals issued a consumer-level recall of Morphine Sulfate Extended-Release Tablets. This recall was issued due to one or more bottles of Morphine Sulfate Extended-Release 30 mg and 60 mg tablets mislabeled with incorrect strength, lot and expiration date. Use of or consumption of this product may expose its users to the risks of addiction, abuse, and misuse, and extended-release opioids have a greater risk for overdose and possible death.
This may represent a potential health hazard or safety risk to plan members using product affected by this recall.

BRP Pharmaceuticals began shipping this product on 04/04/2022. (Ten bottles of 30mg Morphine Sulfate Extended Release and Ten bottles of 60mg Morphine Sulfate Extended Release), both sets were 100 count bottles.
BRP Pharmaceuticals has advised that consumers who have Morphine Sulfate Extended-Release Tablets being recalled to contact their physician or healthcare provider immediately for advice, if they have experienced any problems that may be related to taking or using this product, and to see if they need a different medication.
