Easy Touch Insulin Syringes Consumer-level Recall Expanded

On April 24, 2018, MHC Medical Products issued a consumer-level recall of Easy Touch Insulin Syringes 29 gauge 1 mL ½” NDC # 08496-2915-01 and Easy Touch Insulin Syringes 29 gauge 0.5 mL ½” NDC # 08496-2955-01. This recall was issued because the packaging may be mislabeled.

While the case carton and the poly bag are labeled correctly, some retail shelf cartons are incorrectly labeled as lot number 45016 which is associated with Easy Touch insulin 29 gauge 0.5 mL ½” insulin syringes (Item 829555) instead of lot number 45014 which is associated with Easy Touch insulin 29 gauge 1 mL ½” insulin syringes (Item 829155). This incorrect labeling could result in abnormal product use and could delay patient treatment.

CVS Caremark Response: Because of this action, CVS Caremark is sending letters to members who received this product through CVS Caremark Mail Service Pharmacy and their physicians.
