Unifine Pentips Consumer-Level Recall

On November 6, Owen Mumford issued a consumer-level recall of Unifine Pentips 5 mm needles. This recall was issued due to the potential of the lot being compromised by water in end user level packaging. Exposure to liquid may compromise sterility. This may appear as discoloring or yellowing of the device’s protective seal. This recall was issued as a precautionary measure. There have been no complaints, adverse events or end user reports as of November 3, 2017.

CVS Caremark Response: Because of this action, CVS Caremark Mail Service Pharmacy is sending letters to members who received this product through CVS Caremark Mail Service Pharmacy and their physicians.
